Through studying European and Italian datasets \u2014 highlighting Milan as a case study \u2014 students will analyse road accident data alongside socio-economic factors such as income, age, gender, trip purpose and vehicle speed.<\/p> \r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p>The workshop will acknowledge the potential of digital technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things) applications, AI tools, and traffic monitoring systems to increase road safety, focusing on spatial design and equitable policy as essential elements in reducing fatalities.<\/p> \r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p>Through lectures, discussions, and applied exercises, participants will critically evaluate current urban conditions and suggest evidence-based strategies for redesigning the urban context in line with sustainable and equitable mobility goals.<\/p> \r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p>Where: Politecnico di Milano<\/p>\r\n<p>When: 8-12 September, 2025<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The workshop is conducted in Italian and English.<\/p>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p>The workshop is open to students enrolled in the Mobility Engineering course at Politecnico di Milano, and to any Politecnico students interested in the topic of urban mobility.<\/p> \r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p>HOW TO APPLY<\/p>\r\n<p>Send us an updated CV and a letter of interest no later than 24th August, 2025 to workshop@mic-hub.com<\/p> \r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p>Applicants will be notified of the results of the selection process by the end of August 2025.<\/p>  \r\n\r\n<p>Successful candidates will be provided with a detailed programme.<\/p> \r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p>Pierluigi Coppola, Professor of Transport Planning at the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Politecnico di Milano), Federico Parolotto (MIC-HUB) and Delia Valastro (MIC-HUB City Futures), together with many other instructors and guest speakers.<\/p>","MICHUB_claim":"Siete interessati a come la ricerca possa generare uno sviluppo sicuro e socialmente equo?
