The masterplan aims to regenerate Jeddah Corniche, transforming it into a mixed-use area, featuring museums, shops, offices, parks, resorts, innovation hubs and beaches.
The project proposes a vibrant, modern city centre, blending cultural, recreational and urban elements, while preserving Jeddah’s rich heritage. The total development area exceeds five million square metres, including a prime 9.5-km waterfront along the Red Sea coast of Jeddah.
Commissioned by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, the Jeddah Central Development (JCD) project is one of the most significant urban development mega projects in the region and the Kingdom.
The mission is to create a highly compelling, unique, and iconic development that will have a lasting and transformative impact on Jeddah’s identity, redefining the city’s relationship with the waterfront. This development is expected to be a catalyst for implementing the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Currently under development, the project is set to establish Jeddah as a global hub for culture, recreation, and sustainable urban living.

Our contribution
MIC-HUB has developed a complex mobility project to study the traffic flows, parking guidelines, and the overall mobility strategy within the development in order to integrate eco-friendly practices and smart technologies in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
After careful analysis of the JCD masterplan’s land use, MIC-HUB also defined a last-mile logistics baseline and identified the critical areas in terms of internal delivery processes. The land use analysis provides solutions for delivering goods, and designates viable locations for warehouses and a consolidation centre, as well as supporting a strategy for the delivery process.
