Cinque Terre National Park, Liguria, Italy

We are thrilled to share that we are developing a new project for the Cinque Terre National Park in Liguria, Italy.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site brings in millions of visitors each year and therefore a strategy is needed to manage the crowds in the park.

The preliminary study of tourist flows and design hypotheses prepared by MIC-HUB and recently presented to the Cinque Terre Park is the first step towards managing visitor flows in accordance with the park’s tourism capacity.

“The conclusions and solution proposals that emerged from the MIC-HUB study form the basis for the operational phase defined during the meeting of the General States of the Cinque Terre Park on the topic of sustainable flow management,” says Donatella Bianchi, President of the Park.

Through analysis, statistics and data gathered during peak tourism days, the MIC-HUB study presents a unique understanding of the site, defining innovative scenarios to improve prevention services and the management of park visitors.
