Construction site for the north-west access to Ferrara, Italy
The construction site for the regeneration of the north-west access to Ferrara is now at an advanced stage.
The reorganisation of the street hierarchy, including the addition of new roundabouts, cycle paths and pedestrian walkways, is almost complete. These are key elements that will improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians, as well as enhancing the quality of the whole area.
The holistic approach of the infrastructure design is people-oriented, rather than car-centric, providing a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable change, and offering an integrated, accessible and climate-resilient urban solution.
The project is designed by MIC-HUB together with Studio Silva, Stain and CST, and the construction companies Sintexcal and Boschiva.
