Invited competition for Tirana Boulevard

The invited competition for Tirana Boulevard was the first collaboration between the Landscape/Architecture Rotterdam based West8 and MIC-HUB. The competition entries were presented in Tirana on March, Thursday the 8th.

The competition entry was awarded the Special Price for ”innovation in urban planning” by the jury. “This project was a very interesting opportunity, especially thanks to the continuous dialogue and exchange of ideas with West8, that lead to a real and deep integration between the urban planning and the mobility network design” say Francesca Arcuri, Senior Consultant at MIC-HUB.

“Working on a large master plan with West8 was definitely an interesting experience, West8 approach starts from the public space rather than from the building masses really focus on creating the urban framework of cities” says Federico Parolotto.
