The Design of Cities
Are cities safe for women?
Are cities designed for women?
Do invisible gender barriers exist in our cities?
Urban space and architecture are never neutral because ” when planners fail to account for gender, public spaces become male spaces by default” as Caroline Criado-Perez points out in Invisibles Women.
Cities are for everyone regardless of gender, age, ability, background and race.
Cities need to be inclusive in their design.
A better city is possible.
