The City of Knowledge is one of the strategic projects of Bologna’s current administrative mandate. It is a territorial regeneration project for the northwest quadrant of Bologna that includes integrated actions focusing on science and knowledge as levers for promoting the city, attracting talent and quality investment.

The Knowledge Route is the main infrastructure around which the project is developed, connecting and positioning in the urban space the area in which Bologna’s main research and innovation poles and areas of opportunity and transformation are concentrated, fostering synergies between areas of development and interventions to enhance the city’s scientific, industrial and cultural heritage.
