PTV Innovation Day, Rome

Sepehr Khaleghian, a Senior Consultant in MIC-HUB’s Transport Modelling Team, will give a lecture at PTV Innovation Day, taking place in Rome, Italy, on 20 May.

Entitled ‘Vertical Mobility Modelling through Tour-Based Demand and Python/COM Network Automation in PTV Visum’, his presentation will show how MIC-HUB addresses the challenge by combining tour-based demand modelling and Python-automated network building in PTV Visum to develop a digital twin and decision-support tool.

Modern, high-density building complexes, where towers share infrastructure, amenities, and movement flows, can generate the same level of mobility complexity as a small city within a single architectural envelope. A key challenge lies in understanding how thousands of users can move through shared spaces from early morning to late evening.

The presentation will explore how this approach bridges the perspectives of urban planners and architects, answering critical questions about vertical mobility flows inside buildings throughout the day.
