Road to European Mobility Week

On 17 March, Sweatha Ramesh, Consultant at MIC-HUB, participated in the Workshop and Award Ceremony of the European Mobility Week in Brussels.

Organised by the European Commission (Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport), the event focused on this year’s theme: Mobility for Everyone – Intergenerational Fairness. The European Mobility Week 2026 will take place from September 16–22.

Through presentations and interactive workshops, the event explored how mobility systems can better respond to the needs of people across different generations, helping build more adaptable and inclusive cities.
The discussions offered valuable insights for our ongoing research on Intersectionality in Urban Mobility – Beyond the Average User, which is being developed by our City Futures Research Lab.

The award ceremony celebrated the winners of the European Mobility Week 2025 in the presence of Apostolos Tzitzikostas, EU Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, and Magda Kopczyńska, Director-General for Mobility and Transport.
