International Traffic Safety Data and Analysis Group (IRTAD) Conference 2026

We are pleased to share that Delia Valastro, Senior Researcher at the MIC-HUB City Futures Lab, will attend the International Traffic Safety Data and Analysis Group (IRTAD) conference, taking place in Athens, Greece, from 15 to 17 April.

As part of the ‘Speed and Speed Management’ session, Robbert Lohmann, CEO & Founder of Roadscor, will present ‘The role of embedding simulation-based safety assessment in achieving Vision Zero’, showcasing the Roadscor project and its key findings in support of safer streets and Vision Zero goals.

Delia will attend this session as part of MIC-HUB’s contribution to the Roadscor project, which involved the analysis of a key intersection in Verona through this advanced conflict simulation methodology aimed at improving road safety for vulnerable users.

The project strongly reflects this year’s conference theme: ‘Better Road Safety Data for Better Safety Performance’, highlighting the importance of robust analysis and innovative assessment tools in supporting more effective safety strategies.

The IRTAD conference is co-organised by the International Transport Forum, the National Technical University of Athens and the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers, and it is a key international forum for advancing research and data-driven approaches to road safety.

The presentation topic ‘The role of embedding simulation-based safety assessment in achieving Vision Zero’ will be presented on 16 April during Session 3 at the Royal Olympic Hotel in Athens, Greece from 9.00 to 10.30.
