Scalo Greco Breda – C40 Reinventing Cities

MIC-HUB is proud to be part of the winning team for the “C40 Reinventing Cities” competition for the area Scalo Greco Breda in Milan with L’INNESTO, the first Zero Carbon “Housing Sociale” project proposed by the team represented by Fondo Immobilare Lombardia (FIL) managed by Investire sgr with Fondazione Housing Sociale (FHS) as strategic partner, Barreca & La Varra as architects and landscape designers, and Arup Italia as environmental and urban planning expert.

MIC-HUB, as Sustainable Mobility Expert, has developed a comprehensive mobility strategy based on multimodality and on a radical reduction in car ownership and usage by the residents, thanks to a new way of planning mobility systems and infrastructure, based on the actual demand generated by the users.

Francesca Arcuri, Project Leader at MIC-HUB for L’INNESTO, says: “As sustainable mobility expert, I felt a great responsibility in shaping with the rest of the team the mobility vision for L’INNESTO. Milan has now the opportunity to lead the way towards a sustainable future for our cities, becoming a role model for the rest of Italy and beyond”.

INNESTO, the first Zero Carbon “Housing Sociale” project in Italy, is the showroom of Milan’s new sustainability strategies.
