Università degli Studi di Milano
Federico Parolotto, CEO of MIC-HUB, has recently become an Adjunct Professor of Urban Planning and Design at the University of Milan – Università degli Studi di Milano.
In his new role, Federico is coordinating the Urban Planning course together with Prof. Ruben Baiocco and PhD candidate Delia Valastro. Together with the students, they will examine the relationship between the university and the city through the lens of sustainable mobility.
The course invites students to consider the university system as a scattered campus: a network of sites, routes, and connections that can improve student mobility in terms of safety, environmental quality, proximity and accessibility.
The students will also learn about the principles of the 15-minute city, while addressing the strategic role of railway hubs within the Milan metropolitan area.
Federico’s professional experience in the field is a key element in the dialogue between research and education, contributing to the training of urban planning and mobility professionals of the future by bringing real-world mobility challenges into the academic context.
