Featured image for Bruino Logistic Area

As part of the agreed executive plan for the Bruino area, near Turin, a project proposal was presented for a building commissioned by ICAI S.p.A. and intended to accommodate goods handling activities/logistics using 16.5 metre articulated lorries.

The Client commissioned MIC-HUB to develop a project proposal starting from a previous study on the circulation and parking scheme of articulated lorries for the loading and unloading of goods, which must only take place from the rear door.

  • Area accessibility analysis
  • Layout optimisation of the logistics area

Our contribution

MIC-HUB identified the critical issues relating to accessibility of the intervention area through the existing road network, and revised the internal loading and unloading area at the edge of the property of the proposed building.

These actions were carried out to allow a smooth transit of the articulated lorries and to enable the creation of functional parking bays (for 3 or 4 vehicles contemporarily) for the loading and unloading of goods that must only take place from the back of each vehicle using forklifts.
